Tar syrup

Previously, the Oulujoki River was a tar road, where the tar-burners from Kainuu took their tar to Oulu. Now Tervantie Syrup is being prepared at Ryytiranta along the Oulujoki River. Its aroma of genuine Kainuu tar and its soft taste from pure Indian sugar.

How to use:

Suitable as seasoning for both savoury and sweet foods, e.g. gravlax and blazed salmon, marinades, cheesecakes, with ice cream and berries or in drinks. The tar aroma provides a poignant touch to the taste of the rich spruce sprout syrup.
